This isn’t really my mug to be drinking out of. It’s actually Berkeley’s. But I drink out of it almost daily because it makes me excited for the future and what all Berkeley will do with his life. Berkeley has said for almost 2 years now that when he grows up he wants to go to college at New Life. At school one day they had a missionary tell them that sometimes when people go to college they fall away from God because of all the new freedom. He said that he knows that college kids at New Life would NEVER fall away from God, so he wants to go there. He talks about it weekly and if the future is brought up, he talks about NLC college every single time. I told @katybezet about this and she had his very own little NLC college acceptance box put together for him that students are sent when they are accepted to NLC college. He was sooooo happy (a quiet happy because that’s just who is) when he opened it. This mug was in that box and it’s a daily reminder that God loves my children even more than I do and has big plans for their little lives ❤️❤️❤️

I read a great idea in the Magnolia magazine earlier in the month. Since the winter months are so boring and monotonous, pick a favorite game and keep a tally mark of who wins each game and give some sort of prize at the end (we chose to do it for the months of January and February and tally them up at the end of each month). We played rounds and rounds of uno and the matching game, and the winner gets to pick where we go eat and where we have dessert. Sam was our January winner!! With 19 tally marks! The only problem is, I thought he’d pick somewhere like chick fil a and he picked Fuji 😳so next time we’ll be more specific! But it has been fun!!

The big boys to the rescue! I was packing lunches this morning and Charlie was crying. I asked the boys to help him, and then I walked in to this! One thing I keep thinking this time around is, it’s such a relief to not be the only one with the job of bringing Charlie happiness. When the big boys were little, I was really the only one who could calm them. I was the only one they ever wanted. But Charlie has a whole gang of people he loves and that make him happy and that is just so sweet to me 🥰
